AWS Cloud Engineer

Currently, Girteka Logistics is undertaking a large IT transformation journey, and thus we are looking for a capable Cloud Engineer to join our Infrastructure team and be the AWS subject matter expert. You will be ensuring a smooth operation of our cloud environment (which is completely fresh), working with other IT teams to ensure best practices are being used when designing Cloud solutions and sometimes assisting your teammates on some ad-hoc projects.

To be successful in this role, you should have (as many as possible of) the following qualifications:

• Solid understanding of the overall AWS Cloud infrastructure (S3, EC2, VPC, IAM)
• Strong knowledge of Cloud Security practices and IAM Policy preparation for AWS
• Proficiency in networking (TCP/IP, switching, routing, VPN)
• Basic scripting/development skills (BASH, Python)
• Detail-oriented in documenting information and processes
• Linux OS (SUSE) (or willing to learn that quickly!)
• Troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Good inter-team communication and collaboration skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

And if you have any of the below, well that‘s bonus points for you:

• Experience with SAP database server infrastructure would be a benefit
• Knowledge of monitoring system (Zabbix, Grafana)
• Proficiency in automation tools (Ansible)
• Familiarity with log aggregation tools
• Cloud Certifications

Monthly salary (brutto): from 2500€ to 3600€ - The final level of the salary will depend on competences displayed and previous results achieved. The salary may be further negotiable for candidates of outstanding competence and qualification.
