The Role

We are now embarking on expansion of the group whereby we have decided on set up a regional operating centre in Vilnius. This regional operational centre was set up in November 2018 and initially staffed with 10 FTE working in customer support. As part of the group strategy to support expansion plans, we are now standing up Compliance Operations in Vilnius. The vision of Compliance Operations is for the following functions to sit within.
  • Customer Onboarding
  • Financial Investigations Unit
  • Complaints handling

Customer Onboarding Team

The customer onboarding team comprises of corporate customer onboarding and freelancer/sole trader onboarding. The Director of Compliance Operations will play a leading role in the recruitment of the local team.

Financial Investigations Unit

The Financial Investigations Unit (FIU) is manages the transaction monitoring programme. The Director of Compliance Operations will play a leading role in the recruitment of the local team.

Complaints Handling

The decision has been made to centralise this function in Vilnius. Prior to the migration full training on the complaints handling regime in accordance to FCA rulebook is required. The Group’s Chief Compliance Officer will facilitate and assist with training.

Additionally, the Director of Compliance Operations will be expected to represent the company at local FinTech conferences, thus promoting brand awareness within Lithuania.


  • 5 - 10 years’ experience in a compliance function within a financial services company
  • 5 - 7 years management experience, preferably building teams
  • Fin-Tech and/or experience in the e-Money space is preferable
  • Building out a financial crime programme, from rules  alerts  STR/SARs  feeding the intelligence back into the programme
  • Track record of successfully challenging the status quo
  • Delivering AML Training
  • Report writing and standing up MI

  • Leadership and management skills
  • Full understanding of MLD4 and knowledge of 5MLD
  • Compliance and/or AML accreditation preferable
  • Self-starter
  • Medium to advanced Excel, e.g. pivots
  • Languages:
o English both written and oral should be fluent
o Russian would be useful
