Do you want to be part of an agile management team taking the delivery of Telia’s Digital channels to the next level of excellence? We are now looking for a new Engineering Manager in Vilnius.

In this position, you will be the foundation for making your teams excel in performance and constantly improve in making your domain awesome!


This position is in Telia Global Services Lithuania. Telia Global Services Lithuania is the competency hub for Telia Company, delivering products and services in IT, network, analytics, procurement, HR and finance operations.

Your next challenge?

Telia is on a journey towards becoming the best Digital Telco. In the Digital Channels unit, this means continuously working towards more efficient IT solutions, building in-house competence, continuing our ongoing DevOps journey as well as challenging our Ways of Working.

As Engineering Manager you will be leading 2-3 agile teams in the B2B and B2C Domain of Digital Channels, consisting of approximately 15-20 employees. Your co-workers are Software Engineers, Business Analysts, Scrum Master and Architects with great experience and mindset. You will be a member of the Digital Channels management team where you have a great opportunity to influence all important decisions that we need to make to take us closer to our Wanted Position which describes the wanted future state within DevOps, Employee Commitment, Deliveries and Frontend Technology.

In the management team we work with continuous improvements and agile leadership with great focus on our customers and we feel proud of working close to the market to meet our common goals.

Who are you?

You have a relevant technical university degree and experience from being a manager for agile IT development teams and units. You are also interested in taking agility and devops way of working to the next level and together with your colleagues drive changes towards more efficient ways of working. You are strong within people management and find it challenging and interesting to work cross-border with colleagues in Gothenburg and Solna.

The main responsibilities of the position will be:

  • Lead your Delivery teams making sure that our solutions are scalable, maintainable and architecturally sound
  • Lead your Delivery Teams in our DevOps journey and make sure our applications are running 24/7
  • Lead and grow a team of engineers through hiring, coaching, mentoring, inspiring, feedback and hands-on personal career development
  • Lead according to modern, agile and devops software development practices and help creating good engineering and organizational practices
  • Secure ways of working together with teams in Gothenburg and Stockholm
  • Co-operate with other technology areas on global deliveries
  • Play a key role in helping Digital Channels continue attracting, developing and retaining great engineering talent.
  • Example of technologies your teams are working with include latest Vue+Vuex, SCSS+BEM, Stencil, WebComponents, MicroFrontEnds,HeadlessCMS, Java11+, Spring Boot, , Docker, Kubernetes and AWS.

Your Experience:

  • Experience leading engineering teams with deep technical skills in a cloud-based environment
  • Preferably experience from large matrix organizations, working with many different stakeholders and large-scale projects
  • Relevant bachelors or master’s degree in engineering or computer science
  • Interest to follow new agile frameworks and tech trends
  • You possess a deep understanding of how to translate product and business goals into maintainable technical solutions
  • Strong track record of driving delivery of software with high availability expectations/SLAs
  • Proven Servant Leadership experience within number of Improvements / Transformations in your current/previous positions
  • Fluent in English.

Working in this position you will receive a base salary from 4100 EUR to 6100 Eur Monthly. Plus annual bonuses which vary, depending on your competencies and your and Telia results. Besides for each employee Telia has additional employee benefits package which includes:
