Job description
Hi, we’re Blitz Effect. We build software solutions for small to mid-size businesses that help them operate more effectively.
We’re a small team of problem solvers who enjoy and thrive on finding creative solutions to challenging problems. We’ve been around for about 2 years but we’re still very much in the start-up phase.
Most of our customers are based in the United Kingdom but most recently we’ve moved into the African market as well. We currently cater for the following sectors: education, government, real estate, transport and event management, and renewable energy.
Broadly, we build:
Web applications
Integrations between disparate systems through APIs
Data processing backends for data analytics
We’re looking for a like-minded problem solver who is not very keen on internal office bureaucracy and just wants to get stuff done and be a software engineer.

Requirements
What We Expect
Good proficiency in spoken and written Lithuanian and English
Some understanding of Agile development principles
.NET Core (for building RESTful APIs, about 3 years)
Although if you have minimal experience in .NET, are strong in another framework e.g. Laravel and would be interested in becoming stronger in .NET, we’re open to that too.
SQL (any flavour, we mostly use PostgreSQL, about 3 years)
Experience with either Angular/Vue/React framework (we mostly use Vue, about 3 years)
Genuine interest in building user interfaces (UI) is a bonus

What We Can Offer
€2,200 - €3,000 gross (“ant popieriaus”) pay.
No strict 9-5. Our working hours are flexible. People work differently and we’re mostly interested in getting work done by agreed deadlines. You would still need to ensure there is overlap of schedules with other team-mates for stand-up meetings, code-reviews etc.
Working from home (even after COVID restrictions are lifted).
Location: Vilnius/Kaunas or remote.
No internal office bureaucracy or politics.
