Temporary contract
We are currently looking for an internal audit specialist to join our team and work for PZU Group companies in Lithuania – AB Lietuvos Draudimas and AB Lietuvos Draudimas Estonian branch
  • Prepare a draft and manage completion of Internal Audit plan
  • Ensure internal audit work performed in accordance with relevant professional standards and internal policies and procedures, using Internal Audit templates and reporting standards
  • Assist and conduct assurance (undertake audits to examine and evaluate internal control processes across the company and present recommendations to senior management), advisory and analytical work,
  • Drafting reports, summarizing the results of internal audit activity on a timely basis
  • Provide support to the Supervisory Board in the execution of its duties by providing regular reports and updates
  • Mentoring progress on the timely and effective implementation of actions arising from internal audit activity
  • Assist in the promotion of best practice methods and practices for Internal Audit
  • Working closely with the Internal Audit Department in Poland and other senior managers and develop and maintain relationships with other PZU Group Internal Auditors, to encourage the early and open discussion of issues arising and joint commitment to problem solving


  • Relevant education skills – University Degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, etc.
  • Practical experience in insurance company – 2–3 years (knowledge of Estonian insurance market and life insurance products would be an advantage)
  • An understanding of accounting practices and procedures
  • Knowledge of modern internal audit good practice and methods
  • Capable of understanding the applications of a range of audit techniques and computer audit review and ability to develop practical solutions to a range of audit issues
  • Self motivated, flexible and capable of working within deadlines, independently and as a part of a team
  • Good communication, influencing, negotiating and presentation skills
  • Fluent English (written, verbal)
  • Post graduate studies in Insurance, Risk Management or Internal auditing would be an advantage
  • Knowledge of Polish would be an advantage
  • CIA qualification (or other international certification in audit, risk or accountancy) preferred but not essential
