RESPONSIBILITIES:
- hands-on development of multiple Azure Analysis Services tabular models. Develop from the ground up and maintain existing;
- write complex DAX functions for measure creation;
- curate data with complex SQL scripts to prepare it for ingestion into the tabular model;
- manage the tabular model deployment pipeline process using DevOps;
- manage the Power BI deployment pipeline process, ensuring reporting development meets standards before going to staging;
- perform frequent data quality checks to ensure data consistency in the model and across the reports. Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner;
- partner with business analysts to determine the optimal BI implementation of internal customer requests;
- produce and manage documentation for report users and developers. Run training workshops as needed;
- maintain awareness of new Azure, Fabric, and Power BI features and create a plan to implement them where appropriate;
- act as the subject matter expert for everything Power BI architecture and reporting.
REQUIREMENTS:
- SQL and DAX experience;
- 2+ years building Microsoft SQL/Azure Analysis Services Tabular Models;
- 2+ years working in Power BI dashboard development or similar system;
- 2+ years working in databases, data warehouses, and data lakes.
