The main responsibilities for the position will be:

Production manager steers and directs production activities at the sawing, sorting and drying processes employing 77 employees (direct line manager of 4 team leaders) with production capacity 200 000 m3.

  • Short term production scheduling, responsible for production efficiency and product quality.
  • Ensure a safe working environment by making sure that rules are in place and followed, develops safe working methods, by setting a good example and by coaching (ADD RISK ass).
  • Continuous improvement of department in all areas: efficiency, OHS, product quality and cost.
  • Develope a culture of continuous improvement by enforcing go and see-mindset: go and see the problem in the process and daily routines for problem solving and improvement.
  • Leader and a role model, developing an inclusive and engaging culture.
  • Staffing and personnel development: staffing plans, recruitments, onboarding, competence development in cooperation with HR.
  • Cross department problem solving – develops mill with the mill manager and mill management team, cooperation with maintenance.
  • Call offs and controlling usage of needed production materials (cutting tools, packaging etc.).
  • Project management and involvement in projects.
  • All production related reporting and follow up, ensuring data quality.

Requirements for the applicants:

  • University degree in technical field.
  • Practical experience within the wood processing industry, production process knowledge.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement methodology, go see mindset and problem-solving skills.
  • Good leadership skills in keeping employee motivated and on good performance level.
  • Coaching and passion for continuous development of people.
  • Ability to set priorities, meet deadline, lead with facts and numbers.
  • Change management and communication.
  • Good Lithuanian and English language skills.
  • High learning ability.
  • IT skills.

Salary could be negotiated depending on applicant competencies.
