The main tasks include:

  • Follow and ensure stock of materials, tools, inventory, and optimize stock levels, work with various stock control methods, order spare parts.
  • Continuously benchmark the suppliers, parts and services.
  • Search for new local and foreign suppliers and service providers, develop suppliers’ agreements, obtain quotes, place purchase orders, and establish delivery dates.
  • Manage, investigate and resolve issues on suppliers’ related materials, quality, shortages and compliance.
  • Implement cost-savings initiatives through continuous process improvement.
  • Support production processes by having understood the sequence of operations.
  • Ensure that all purchased parts in ERP are properly depicted and parametrized correctly.
  • Fulfil environmental protection tasks, like secondary raw material management, packaging waste management, reports, etc.
  • Closely cooperate with engineering, production and quality departments regarding new parts approval.
  • Might identify and evaluate new sourcing channels in Europe and the long run in other regions.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Technical Sciences, Logistics, Economics, Business Management.
  • 3-5 years of experience as a purchaser or buyer in a manufacturing company.
  • Experience with Microsoft products, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (“Monitor” program knowledge would be an advantage).
  • Lean, quality, manufacturing, process control knowledge.
  • Fluent Lithuanian, English and preferably Russian language skills.
