The Role
Home Group is looking for a Purchasing Specialist for Upholstery Fabrics and Leather to execute its purchasing process for group factories, decrease costs, and improve material suppliers' performance. Purchasing Specialist will be based at operations in Klaipeda (400+ employees) and will report directly to Purchasing Manager. In this role, he / she will cooperate with the Commercial, Logistics and Purchasing teams in other factories, as well as European and Chinese suppliers of raw materials.

In this role, he / she will cooperate with the Commercial, Logistics and Purchasing teams in other factories, as well as European and Chinese suppliers of raw materials.
Responsibilities
- Optimize procurement and stock level of upholstery materials (fabric, leather, other) used by
- Purchase of certain production materials (fabric and leather) in all Home Group factories, follow up on their shipment, troubleshoot to secure timely delivery, responsible for document flow related to fabric and leather supply.
- Identify the best suppliers for these production materials and negotiate terms and conditions of such purchases, including payment terms, stock and responsibility for claims. Follow up on supplier's performance vs delivery contract conditions, analyze deviations.
- Ensuring the timely and trouble-free availability of materials necessary to meet the production needs of the company, including its quality requirements.
- Preparation, tracking and arranging of transport orders, ensuring that all paperwork is in order before the fabric/leather are shipped in order to minimize custom costs.
- Arranging the movement of materials between different factories as needed to ensure that the right materials are where they are needed.
- Dealing with quality claims for all materials that do not meet our technological requirements, if they appear when the materials are received by warehouse keepers and ensuring that we receive compensation from suppliers.
- Arranging the handling of complaints for deliveries of non-compliant goods including when we discover the issue only after the furniture is in use.
- Search for new suppliers, communicate and talk with suppliers about product quality, availability and sales conditions.
- Communicate effectively and proactively with other departments / Factories to plan purchases.
- Negotiating, optimizing and monitoring delivery terms.
- Maintain accurate procurement records in the system, prepare reports. Review and resolve supplier invoice discrepancies.
- Participate in cross-functional projects related to the fabrics RM category, ERP system implementation.
Requirements
- Experience in procurement, logistics, or customer service, preferably within an international organization.
- Analytical mindset.
- PC literacy: MS Word, Excel, Outlook, IFS, SAP, or relevant software.
- Upper-Intermediate English language is a must.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to build relationships, and influence without direct authority.
- Strong communication skills.
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
