Role & responsibilities
As a Revenue Analyst, you will join a team of data-driven professionals within the Revenue Management department, dedicated to maximizing revenue through strategic pricing, inventory management, and demand forecasting. Your responsibilities will include the oversight of specific routes and analyzing data to determine optimal actions for both your designated routes and the broader network at any given moment. In collaboration with our Marketing Team, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our commercial strategy, ensuring our approach is both innovative and effective.

- Daily revenue management
- Analyzing historical sales data, booking patterns, and market trends to identify revenue growth opportunities and pricing strategies
- Implementing pricing strategies to maximize revenue, considering factors such as seasonality, demand fluctuations, and market conditions
- Assist in managing revenue management systems (RMS) and other analytical tools, ensuring data accuracy and system optimization
- Regular reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Monitor competitor pricing strategies, market positioning, and customer behavior for revenue optimization and to maximize total revenue
- Support the development of demand forecasts and revenue projections to optimize inventory allocation and pricing decisions
- Work closely with cross-functional teams such as sales, marketing, and operations to align revenue management strategies with overall business objectives
- Preparing offers for companies in the tourism sector and for larger groups
Requirements:
- University degree in business administration, engineering, or related field
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI
- Excellent optimization and analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills and a team-player mentality
- Organizational skills, independent working methods, attention to detail and solution-oriented thinking
- Imagination and initiative
- Knowledge of the aviation industry is a significant advantage
- Experience in airRM is a significant advantage
- Excellent spoken and written skills in English (Icelandic is an advantage)
