Senior Financial Accountant

This Role
We are looking for a driven individual to join our team as a Senior Accountant. You will be responsible for setting up, implementing and managing our accounting system in Lithuanian and internationally. You will work with the operational and compliance teams to prepare monthly, quarterly, & annual financial statements and compliance reports. Your main responsibility will be maintaining accounting books and prepare monthly reports to our operations team. The ideal candidate will have experience working as an accountant for an EMI or Bank. You must be able to manage a the accounting process from beginning to end. This person will also get the opportunity to work with our technology team and have a hand in building revolutionary financial technology that opens up banking for everyone.

This person will have a lot of exposure to the executives of Transactive and will work directly with them, this person will report directly to the Deputy CEO of Transactive.

Primary Responsibilities
 Set up, implement & manage the accounting system
 Maintain accounting books and prepare monthly reports to operations team
 Prepare monthly, quarterly, & annual financial statements in accordance with local accounting standards
 Work together with tax consultants to prepare and submit tax returns on time
 Review local contracts initiated by local office in particular on the payment terms
 Assess tax implication of the contracts
 Work with operation and compliance team to ensure the compliance of local rules and regulations
 Document & compile necessary reporting whilst liaising with external auditors
 Build & maintain banking relations

Requirements
 Bachelor degree in accounting/finance/economic/business administration) is preferred, but not required
 Minimum five (5) years of experience at relevant positions
 Good knowledge of local and international accounting principles, Certified Public Accountant is a plus
 Experienced and knowledgeable of accounting software, payroll procedures, and management systems
 Familiar with local laws and regulations (specifically for EMIs and Banks)
 Native Lithuanian is a must with fluent English

Salary (depending on qualification): EUR 2.300 - 3.500 p.m.
