We're hiring an accountant who keeps real books for real companies — and builds the software that does it. You'll be the accountant for Paysera's own companies and for external client companies, and a co-owner of the product they all run on. And yes — you'll earn from the value you create.

We're building Paysera Accounting: an AI-first, full-bookkeeping platform for companies across the EU (Wave 1: Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia, Poland). It already runs a real general ledger, invoicing, accounts payable with AI document capture, payments reconciliation, payroll, and tax and regulatory reporting — plus a public API and an MCP server for AI agents.

This is not a traditional accounting seat, and it's not a pure engineering seat either. You do both: you are a working accountant, and you build the product you work in.

• Be the accountant. You keep the books, run the monthly, quarterly and annual closes, and file the statutory reports — for Paysera group companies and for external Lithuanian client companies that run on Paysera Accounting. You are their accountant, not just their software provider: you own the full cycle, from general ledger, payables and receivables, and payroll through tax and financial reporting.
  
• Build the product via vibe coding. Using AI-assisted development with Claude Code, you orchestrate AI agents that write the code; you bring the deep accounting knowledge that turns real bookkeeping into shipped software. You decide what "correct" means for a tax return, a payroll run or a period close — because you do that work yourself. You own features end-to-end and ship every day.
  
• Close the loop. Because you both keep the books and build the tool, what frustrates you — or a client — on Monday, you can fix in the product the same week. You onboard clients moving over from their old accounting tools, make sure their numbers reconcile, and every client you take on makes the product better for the next one.
  

No computer-science degree required:

Seriously — we're not hiring a programmer. You're an accountant first, and the AI writes the code. What it can't do is deep accounting judgement, a test-driven mindset, and curiosity about how a system fits together. If you understand accounting better than most people understand their own inbox, you have the rare half — we'll teach the rest. Because this is payment and compliance software, every change still passes mandatory human review, strong test coverage and quality gates. You move fast, with a safety net.

• A solid accounting background — a degree in Accounting/Finance is welcome, but the real proof is competence, not a diploma; 3+ years of full-cycle work.
  
• Strong command of Lithuanian tax, payroll and statutory reporting.
  
• A builder's instinct: you automate the boring parts, think in edge cases, and are genuinely curious about how the whole thing connects.
  
• Comfortable with accounting software and excited — not just willing — to orchestrate AI tools rather than fear them.
  
• Strong Lithuanian; strong English is required — it is our main internal working language.

You don't just draw a salary here — you earn from what you build and from the clients you serve. As a co-owner of Paysera Accounting, your pay is tied to the real value you and your team create: the clients who move onto the product, the revenue it earns, the cost it takes out. When the product wins, you win — with genuinely uncapped upside. You get full stability while you get up to speed, and from there your rewards grow with your impact.
