ABOUT THE POSITION:
We are looking for the Chief Accountant at BURGA! As the Chief Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing all accounting activities of our organization, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial reporting and accounting processes. You will lead a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance, support, and supervision to ensure the smooth operation of the finance department., You will report to the company CFO and collaborate with other departments to achieve organizational goals.
To provide a bit more insight into our operations: our BURGA products are delivered to customers worldwide, with our distribution network extending everywhere except Antarctica. ☃️ Additionally, last year our sales amounted to 50 million Euros.

GET READY TO:
- Set up an in-house accounting team and move accounting operations from an outsourced accounting firm
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department
- Prepare and review monthly and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Coordinate and facilitate internal and external audits Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy
- Oversee payroll processing and ensure accurate and timely payments
- Manage company treasury ensuring efficient cash usage
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient delivery of financial reporting and analysis.
- Additionally, your department will be responsible for transactions with the payment gateways; production accounting; handling sales taxes / VAT in the EU, USA, Canada, Australia, and Japan; managing customs procedures, and packaging taxes in Lithuania and the EU
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Proven experience as a Chief Accountant or similar role, with a minimum of 3 years of experience
- Proficiency in directing an accounting team, requiring at least 3 years of experience
- Experience working within the e-commerce industry; In-depth knowledge of Business accounting principles (VAS), IFRS, practices, and regulations
- Proficiency in accounting software and experience with Business Central 365 (NAV) platform is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Perfect English and Lithuanian language skills
