Intro:
We’re inviting a Tech Lead (JAVA) to join our team and help build a scalable ERP product serving tens of thousands of companies and individuals. Join us if you want to leave a meaningful footprint in society.
We are now entering an exciting new chapter: transforming our established ERP expertise into a modern, international SaaS business. In 2024, we launched RIVILE ERP, a cloud-native business management platform designed around automation, integrations, scalability and modern web technologies. Our ambition is to take the product beyond Lithuania and build a SaaS platform capable of serving businesses in international markets.
For a Tech Lead, this means joining at a particularly interesting stage — the product already has a strong business foundation and real customers, while the technology and architecture are still evolving. You will have the opportunity to influence architectural decisions, engineering practices and the evolution of a scalable, multi-tenant SaaS platform rather than simply maintaining a mature legacy product.
Our recruitment process consists of just two meetings:
1. Technical interview with HR, the Head of Engineering, and the Architect (remote). During this meeting, we briefly introduce our organization, the team, and the role, while also discussing your experience and assessing your technical knowledge.
2. Final interview with the CEO and the Head Of Engineering (preferably in person). This meeting is focused on aligning expectations from both sides and making sure we are a good match for working together.
The team:
Our engineering team consists of 19 developers across three teams: Frontend (5), Domain (10) and Platform (4). Each team has its own area of responsibility, but we work closely together, share knowledge, and help each other solve challenges.
You’ll be joining our Platform Team, a small team of four where everyone has a voice and the opportunity to make an impact. We value ownership, independence, and quality over simply getting things done quickly. We’re a friendly team that enjoys open discussions, welcomes constructive and honest feedback, and believes that good ideas can come from anyone, regardless of their role or experience.
We encourage everyone to take initiative, challenge existing approaches, and see things through to the end. About the Role:
- Take ownership of key technical areas of our multi-tenant ERP platform, ensuring solutions are secure, reliable, scalable, and maintainable.
- Lead complex technical initiatives from identifying problems and evaluating solutions to implementation and delivery.
- Stay hands-on with Java and Spring Boot development, contributing to complex tasks while balancing coding with technical leadership responsibilities.
- Help shape technical standards, engineering practices, and code quality across the platform.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other developers through code reviews, knowledge sharing, and constructive feedback.
- Identify technical risks, challenge existing approaches, and drive improvements in system performance, reliability and maintainability.
- Work closely with the Head of Engineering, architects, and other developers to make well-informed technical decisions and ensure their successful implementation.
- Collaborate with other engineering teams and product stakeholders to align technical solutions with business needs.

Mandatory experience requirements:
- Domain Driven Design, Clean Code and expectation of high-quality code standard
- 7+ years of experience building SaaS multi-tenant solutions with strong Java knowledge which brings ability to design and develop complex solutions
- Java Spring ecosystem (Core, Boot, Web, Data and Security, Spring Cloud, Spring Integration)
- Experience with high-load systems: heavy-load DB queries/mutation, requests throttling, async processing.
- Architectural knowledge of: Hibernate, Event driven microservices with CQRS (Command Query Responsibility Segregation), Saga design pattern
- Ability to explain complex decisions and make consensus agreements with the team
- Proven experience making technical decisions and guiding other developers through complex implementations
- Ability to take ownership, work independently, and drive technical problems to resolution
- Experience mentoring developers and providing constructive technical feedback
Preferred experience requirements (stand out):
- Event driven frameworks using Axon or Message Bus (JMS based)
- GraphQL
- DevOps knowledge: Kubernetes, CI/CD, GitHub Actions, GCP
- Background in ERP systems would make you really stand out
