This position is ideal for someone with:
- A solid foundation in mechanical design and injection molding;
- Experience in regulated environments (especially medical devices);
- A proactive and collaborative mindset;
- Strong documentation and configuration management skills.
Your responsibilities would be:
Product Development Lifecycle
Involvement from requirements to deployment for:
Involvement from requirements to deployment for:
- Injection molded components;
- Mechanical components;
- Fixtures (assembly & measurement).
- Managing changes;
- Supporting existing products and cost-saving initiatives.
- Creating concepts, detailed studies, and specifications;
- Engineering investigations and problem-solving.
- Collaboration with Electronic and Test Engineers, Quality team.
Required Qualifications and Skills
Education & Experience
Design for Manufacturing (DFM);
Plastic part design;
Thermoplastics knowledge (mechanical, thermal, chemical properties).
Standards Knowledge:
- Degree: Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Production Engineering;
- Experience: 3+ years in injection molding or mechanical/mechatronics design.
- CAD: SolidWorks proficiency;
- Statistical Tools: Minitab or similar;
- Design Principles:
Design for Manufacturing (DFM);
Plastic part design;
Thermoplastics knowledge (mechanical, thermal, chemical properties).
Standards Knowledge:
- ISO standards for technical documentation creation, injection molding & quality control;
- ISO 13485, ISO 14971, IEC 6beneficial for medical devices).
- Creativity, enthusiasm, and results oriented;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities;
- Fluent English communication.
