This role generates fact-based insights on market size, growth, competitive dynamics, and customer demand drivers, directly informing strategic decision-making across service lines, geographies, and priority initiatives.
The role requires strong analytical rigor, the ability to operate under ambiguity, and ownership of methodologies, data sources, and outputs. There will be considerable opportunity for on-the-job development — from more advanced analytical work to supporting high-impact strategic initiatives — making this an ideal position for an intellectually curious analyst looking to grow.
Responsibilities:
1. Market Sizing & Growth Analysis

Triangulate multiple fragmented data sources to construct defensible views of market size and growth
Clearly document assumptions, methodologies, and limitations of all analyses
Identify growth opportunities, market gaps, and priority segments
2. Competitive Intelligence
Maintain a structured and continuously updated view of key competitors, including:
Service offerings and capabilities
Geographic footprint
Strategic moves and partnerships
Identify emerging competitive patterns and capability gaps.
Translate competitor activity into clear implications for World Courier’s strategic positioning.
Deliver insights through:
Monthly market intelligence updates
Quarterly deep-dive analyses
Inputs into the annual strategy cycle
3. Market Share & Performance Tracking
Build and maintain a fact-based view of World Courier’s market share across:
Service lines
Regions and countries
Track performance versus market growth and competitive dynamics
Proactively identify and flag areas of over- or under-performance
Articulate potential root causes and strategic implications
4. Clinical Trials Market Intelligence
Analyze trends in clinical trial activity, including:
Trial initiation and cancellation trends
Study complexity and geographic footprint
Lead times and operational dynamics
Translate market signals into implications for:
Demand evolution
Operational complexity
Strategic positioning and innovation opportunities
5. Ad-Hoc Strategic Analysis
Structure ambiguous problems into clear analytical frameworks
Conduct analyses to support priority topics, including market assessments, M&A screening and strategic theses, and new service line or geographic evaluations
Formulate evidence-based hypotheses and recommendations
Produce clear, structured outputs suitable for senior stakeholders, landing key points and reaching the ‘so what’ of each analysis
6. Communication & Storytelling
Support the creation of PowerPoint decks and presentation materials that communicate analytical results in compelling, insight-led ways
Translate complexity into clear, concise narratives for both analytical and non-analytical audiences
Serve as a key resource for interpreting data and information; communicate results proactively to team members and senior leaders
7. Data & Methodology Ownership
Own and maintain documentation of key data sources, extraction processes, and analytical methodologies
Ensure reproducibility and consistency of analyses across the team
Identify data limitations, biases, and required adjustments (e.g., outlier treatment, smoothing)
Continuously improve data quality and analytical approaches
Utilise business intelligence tools across departments and functional areas to provide detailed reporting and analysis
8. Stakeholder Interaction & Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with the Strategy Manager and Strategy team
Engage with stakeholders across Finance, Sales, Services, and Operations
Coordinate cross-functional project activities and ensure deliverables are accurate and meet stakeholder requirements
Maintain and develop strong working relationships with business owners as a process and insights advocate
