Primary duties and responsibilities:
- Supporting Metso and legal entities in day-to-day indirect tax-related topics
- Provide technical VAT advice to Metso and legal entities e.g. in case of changes in business processes, tax technologies, or legal tax requirements
- Ensure that indirect tax handling is done with the required quality, tax handling meets local requirements, and tax transactions are completely and accurately reflected in the financial reporting
- Co-ordinate and support tax audits
- Co-ordinate and support local tax filings and VAT refund process with the service provider
- Participate in projects, design tax testing, develop testing scenarios and test cases
- Conduct testing as per the set standards and procedures
- Review and analyze testing results with the project team and deployment lead
- Act as a key point of contact between Vilnius GBS, local finance, Group Tax, and IT
- Perform other tasks given by the manager.
Competencies Required:
- University degree in Finance/Accounting
- 3+ years of hands-on experience related to VAT or VAT compliance, preferably from a big4 audit or a multinational company
- Strong knowledge and experience in VAT (and GST) regulation and related processes in an international context
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Passion for working in an international environment and an ability to work independently in a structured manner
- Fluent in English, verbal and written
